Club History
Established in 1975, the Rusty Runners Snowmobile Club is a
family oriented organization that supports the sport of
snowmobiling. During the early years when snowfall was heavy in
Illinois, the Rusty Runners assisted the Plainfield Emergency
Services when snow made emergency assistance impossible. That
commitment to safety remains strong. The Rusty Runners
Snowmobile Club also sponsors two Illinois Dept of Natural
Resources Snowmobile Safety Classes every year.

The Rusty Runners Snowmobile Club is a member of the Illinois
Association of Snowmobile Cubs (IASC). The IASC functions as a
unified voice for snowmobilers when dealing with the state
government, the federal  government, and equipment
manufacturers.
Membership
Each winter, the Rusty Runners Snowmobile club organizes several
snowmobile trips which are open to members and their families.
Past club trips have included rides in  Wisconsin, Michigan and
New York to name a few. When the snow comes to Illinois and the
trails are open, you can find the Rusty Runners on the I & M Canal
for a fun day of riding.

When not on the trails, the Rusty Runners Snowmobile Club meets
monthly to plan events, socialize, and take care of Club business.
Members will share stories and photos from past trips.  Past
non-snow events have included:
